Located on the southern coast of Nantucket, only a few feet from the shore, is Bartlett’s Farm, the oldest and biggest family-owned farm on the island.
This multifaceted family business is well renowned for its farm-grown maize and tomatoes. The Farm sits on over one hundred acres of open fields producing fruit and flowers. Visit their Garden Center—it has everything you need to start, grow, and care for your own garden, all in one convenient location.
Over the past decade, they have converted more than 30 acres of land to organic farming. Seven greenhouses are used to produce hothouse tomatoes, while many more greenhouses are now being utilized to produce organic vegetables and herbs.
The Farm’s kitchen is located inside the Market and serves ready-to-eat cuisine that customers may take to the beach or to the Farm’s outdoor picnic location. Their full-service kitchen prepares breakfast sandwiches, muffins and pastries, as well as coffee and tea, all of which may be taken away. They serve a variety of lunch foods, such as lobster rolls, Surfside tuna melt, and other sandwiches. The vegetable curry, roasted chicken, and prime rib dinner are the specials for supper.
The grocery shop at Bartlett’s Farm is fully equipped with various gourmet pasta, olive oils, organic snacks, premium meats, artisanal cheeses, and dairy products, among other things. They feature a collection of organic wines, artisan beers, and ciders that are produced sustainably.
When the weather is nice, you may enjoy sitting outside, and the kids can play on their outdoor playground. You can drive or ride your bike over to the Farm to take in the picturesque scenery, get lunch to eat at the beach, look for the ideal present, or even get married there!
